Avensis Voluntary Recall

On 26th January 2011, Toyota GB announced it would preemptively recall certain Avensis vehicles within the UK to carry out modifications to the fuel systems.
Approximately 15,500 UK vehicles are subject to this recall and you can check if your vehicle is affected by using the VIN / Registration number search facility on the Toyota GB website by clicking here.
Please note, Avensis vehicles personally imported into the UK will not be found on the above search link. If you are in any doubt as to whether your vehicle is affected, please contact your local Inchcape Toyota centre on the details below.
For information, the issue is affecting certain Avensis 2.0 litre and 2.4 litre petrol engine models, produced between July 2000 and September 2008, and is related to the fuel pipe and fuel pump.
There have been no reports of any incidents and no complaints related to this issue have been reported in the UK.
