The Toyota Verso has been named the safest multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), it has been revealed.
Euro NCAP's test results from last year have shown the motor to be top of the pile in terms of safety.
It managed an 89 per cent score for adult occupant protection, while in the child category it was given 75 per cent.
What's more, it achieved 69 per cent for pedestrian impact performance and 86 per cent for safety assistance.
In addition to this, it scored the highest combined percentage ratings in each test category of MPVs that took part in the independent crash test and assessment programme.
This comes after the manufacturer announced a special edition of the Toyota AYGO Go! vehicle, which included a number of new multimedia features.
Among the options are a removable TomTom satnav unit, which has touchscreen controls and voice recognition, plus there is a mode to find various points of interest throughout the UK.
