Toyota iQ The Most Economical Eco-Friendly Car On The Block
Published: 19/04/2011
During the past year, car manufacturers have been under huge pressure to increase the fuel efficiency of their cars and cut CO2 emission rates.
Diesel cars have traditionally stolen the limelight when it comes to fuel efficiency, but Car Finance buyers seeking a smooth and quiet ride will arguably feel that they still cannot compete with petrol models.
Toyota has always been a very strong contender in this market and it comes as no surprise that a comparative analysis carried out by MSN UK puts Toyota iQ ahead in its class for both fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions.
Not only is the car a pleasure to look at, but its compact size makes it a pleasure to manoeuvre into parking spaces as well. Car finance users are of course interested in the bottom line and this is where the iQ really excels. Boasting a fuel consumption of 63mpg, it will certainly go a long way on a tank of petrol. Its CO2 emission figure stands at an excellent 104 g/km (grams per kilometre).
The 1 litre engine pushes out 67bhp, which makes the car surprisingly eager in city traffic. One feature of Toyota cars that car finance buyers have always appreciated is the fact that they offer great resale values, and the iQ will no doubt continue this tradition.
Of course, the iQ is not perfect; the small size means that interior space is not its strongest point and the ride can oftentimes be a little hard. This is unlikely to deter car finance buyers who want an economical, eco-friendly and fun city car however.
