Toyota Auris Icon Plus

Alongside the addition of the new Icon Plus there are to be a host of changes to the line-up of British Built Toyota hatchbacks and wagons, offering customers new features and a wider choice of hybrids.

Using the Toyota Auris Icon as its inspiration, the Icon Plus comes with the addition of brand new-design 16-inch alloy wheels, rear privacy glass and a folding function for the electrically adjustable door mirrors.

Customers of the new Toyota Icon Plus grade will also be privy to the new Tungsten Blue metallic paint finish for the model.

The interior also features improvements over the Auris Icon with the new Icon Plus boasting heated front sports seats, replete with electric lumbar support control.

Opting for a petrol of hybrid model in the Auris Icon Plus grade, comes with the added benefit of cruise control.

However, all versions of the new Icon Plus level come as standard with the improved Toyota touch 2 with Go infotainment system, which features sat-nav and advanced connectivity features.

In general, customer demand has been on a continuous increase and the ultra-efficient and smooth hybrid powertrain now outsells the petrol and diesel iterations.

As a result, Toyota is extending the choice on offer by making both the hatchback and Touring Sports hybrids available for the Icon Plus grade, joining the Icon and Excel trim levels.

Toyota has also tweaked the options list to include the Icon plus and specifications will now include a panoramic roof and leather upholstery.

Other specifications on offer for the Icon Plus are the Parking Pack, the Protection Pack and a new Chrome Pack, which respectively offer colour-matched front and rear parking sensors, front and rear mud flaps and chrome side sills and boot trim.
