The ever-popular Yaris hatchback has been updated for 2016, featuring an all-new trim level.
For 2016 the Yaris benefits from revised specifications across the whole range. The Active model gains new Spinne black cloth trim on the hybrid model, with the trim standard on Icon grades along with DAB digital radio, cruise control, rear privacy glass and 15-inch alloy wheels.
Previously available across the range, Excel becomes a hybrid-only specification, with features including automatic headlights and windscreen wipers, 16-inch alloys, rear power windows, auto-dimming rear-view mirror and a cooled glovebox.
New for this year is the Design trim. Design replaces Sport in the Yaris line-up and is available with on the five-door model with 1.33 petrol, 1.4 diesel and hybrid powertrain options.
The standard specification of the Design model includes LED daytime running lights and rear lights, projector headlights, DAB digital radio, a reversing camera and cruise control, with dual zone climate control available for the hybrid cars. On the outside the Design gains a gloss black honeycomb mesh grille, a rear spoiler and chrome foglight surrounds.
Design customers can also specify a Bi-colour exterior paint option. This £795 option gives an Eclipse Black Metallic finish for the roof, front pillars, door mirrors and upper grille, with Vermillion Red or Glacier Pearl White bodywork.
Key options for all 2016 Yaris customers include front and rear parking sensors, a Protection Pack and the addition of the Go navigation and connectivity function to the Toyota Touch 2 system. A leather interior can be specified with a range of different contrast stitching options, according to model grade.
Toyota Safety Sense can be specified for Icon, Design and Excel versions of Yaris, equipping the car with Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert and Automatic High Beam.
